  9. This program lets you design electronics drawings (and more).
  10. The docs are french only but the executable is in english language.
  11. The french, deutsch, spanish, italian and czech catalogs and their
  12. sources are included (not completly updated, 2 new strings not
  13. traduced).

  15. Please send me the catalogs for your languages, they will be included
  16. in future versions. If someone is interested for the traduction of the
  17. guide file in english (even for parts of it), please let me know (I just
  18. begin to do the job, but I have no time to it for the moment).

  47. What's new in version 1.2?

  49. - The screen has now 16 colors, different colors are used for the
  50.   components, wires, etc... Just adjust the palette to your needs
  51.   or load the file AmiCAD.palette if you want to keep your old
  52.   config file.
  53. - Some bugs corrected: DATE, DEF, SETDEV, SETGRID, REMLIB...
  54. - New functions SAVEALL and GETCOLOR
  55. - Better Symmetry handling, rotations, symmetry, scaling can now be
  56.   performed on clips.
  57. - New box object.
  58. - New Preferences menu (Full name in the title bar).
  59. - The format of the title bar has changed (suggest from Sébastien
  60.   VEYRIN-FORRER).
  61. - Better and new ARexx scripts.
  62. - Italian catalog (thanks to Massimo Basso), new spanish catalog

  70.   called AmiCAD.prefs (not compatible with the older files, but can be
  71.   adapted with a text editor),

  88. Installation
  89. ------------
  90. Use the "install english" installer script (or the "installation
  91. français" script if you are a french language user). You'll also
  92. need Installer from AT to do the job.
  93. You can also use the program only after you unarchive it, just
  94. copy the AmiCAD directory anywhere you want...
  95.  
  96. Usage
  97. -----
  98. Click on the AmiCAD icon to start the program. The first time, as the
  99. preferences are not set correctly, a screen at the dimensions of the
  100. Workbench screen will be opened. You can then change the screen mode
  101. with the Preferences menu. Choose a font for the screen with the font
  102. requester, choose your palette, then save the configuration before
  103. leaving the program to keep your choices.
  104. Use the Draw menu to get objects on the window. Double click on the
  105. objects if you want to modify one of them. You can also use the mouse
  106. with the left button pushed to select multiple parts (in combination
  107. with the shift key to extend a selection, and the ctrl key to
  108. deselect some objects). You can also move objects with the mouse,
  109. dragging them with the left button. To modify a line, click on one
  110. of the extremity and drag it with the mouse (or use the cursor keys
  111. in combination with the shift (optionnal) and alt or ctrl keys for
  112. adjusting each extremity). The other functions should be self
  113. explanatory, I hope. Use the Draw and Edition menus.
  114. You'll also have to set the icon tooltypes to your needs.

  116. Note to CyberVision users
  117. -------------------------
  118. The program works pretty well under CyberGraphX but there are some
  119. visual problems under this system: when you draw some components
  120. with filled areas, like triangles or boxes, the complement mode
  121. doesn't work well, so there are some traces on the screen. Use the
  122. Z key to redraw the screen and all will be corrected. This problem
  123. doesn't appear under Amiga native modes.
